Therapeutic Recreation Activities
Recreation Therapists at ARTC involve clients in activities that are oriented to treatment, education or recreation as a means of improving the health and well being of clients.
Our RT staff treat the whole person, designing programs that meet their physical, social, cognitive and emotional needs.
All staff are available and willing to offer support and information about other community resources available to assist caregivers in their roles.
Physical
Bocci ball, movement to music, walks, gardening, bowling, volleyball, woodworking, Wii games and crafts.
Social
Cooking and baking groups, intergenerational programs, holiday parties, guest speakers, discussion groups, luncheons, and BBQs.
Cognitive
World travel, trivia, quizzes, crosswords, board games, and computer games.
Emotional
Reminisce, book club, discussion groups, music, drumming circle.
